I pitched your request upstairs, and got a flat "request denied." We can't postpone, and we can't repurpose another vessel to accompany you on the patrol. If Akkad can't repair her engine in time you'll have to go solo. You'll get that through official channels very soon. You can file a protest, that's your prerogative, but it won't do any good except at an inquiry. The brass are really leaning on me to get SENTRYWALK started on time.

I think the rush on this is more than the usual Intelligence spookage crap. Everybody's looking nervous around the water coolers. Not that there's anything solid yet that I'm aware of.

Kitty and Bob Jr are doing fine. Thanks for asking. I'll look in on Marge for you while you're gone, but she's still pretty mad at you. Fleet life is a helluva strain on a marriage I know.
